Is your Mother’s mahj set collecting dust? Do you know that “BAM! & CRACK!” are not just terms in the comic strips but also part of the game of Mahj? Mah Jongg is a tile game that requires critical thinking, situational awareness, social intelligence to play it well and provides countless hours of fun! Fern Grunberger, mahj enthusiast, will be teaching women and men who have never played mahj. This class is only for beginners. The sound of the clicking tiles will be music to your ears as you will be playing in no time. Bring your official National Mah Jongg League 2023 card (hands and rules) or purchase a card ($15 exact change please) from instructor at first class. Winter Wonderland December 13 - January 6
Experience the warmth and beauty of winter through the eyes of a variety of local artists. Many from here in Beachwood! An artists’ reception is scheduled for December 17 from 1-2:30 PM. Celebrating Black History Month through Creative Expressions January 10 - February 19 Enjoy a variety of art through the talent of various artists! Artists’ reception on January 21 from 1-2:30 PM. Ileen Kelner Juried High School Art Show February 25 - March 29 This special exhibit presented by the Beachwood Arts Council features inspiring artwork from the area’s most talented students representing over 20 high schools. Join us for an opening reception of February 25 from 3-5 PM. Out of this World Exhibit April 6 - April 27 Is space your focus? Do you see stars when you create in clay, glass, pigment?
