LitCamp is a breakthrough summer literacy program that provides best-practices Science of Reading instruction in an engaging and welcoming summer-camp atmosphere. Designed to accelerate achievement, increase engagement, and strengthen foundational and fluency skills , the program builds lifelong readers and writers through robust, meaningful lessons and activities. LitCamp lessons for all grades center on shared read-alouds of outstanding and highly acclaimed books. After an initial reading, students “Go Deep” into the text, discussing questions that guide them toward the stated knowledge goals and an essential understanding of the text. Subsequent writing practice and application deepen comprehension while building critical written communication skills.
