The Scholastic Coaching Framework Educators need ongoing and personalized support so they can transform research and strategies into everyday practice. Scholastic’s coaching framework provides educators with the opportunity to collaborate with a Scholastic Literacy Specialist to observe, practice, and refine their skills and strategies in the classroom. Our specialists have backgrounds in classroom teaching and leadership and are trained extensively in collaborative coaching and modeling. Together, we aim to: ⊲ Transform practice with research-based techniques ⊲ Provide a pathway for professional growth tailored to the unique needs of every educator ⊲ Empower educators to propel student achievement and outcomes

Our framework includes preconference meetings to plan the coaching focus, classroom visits to observe student learning, and reflective meetings for the teacher to identify goals for student learning and next steps in collaboration with the literacy specialist. Options for in-person and virtual coaching are available.
