IMPLEMENTATION GUIDANCE
Pages 31-47 have a set of immediate "Start Small" implementation actions (Years 2020-2021) that each of the READY, SET and GO Strategic Direction work groups devised and that also came forward in the Brand and Grow Strategic Priorities. The Strategic Planning Taskforce understands NSBE's culture and unique leadership structure and know how important setting the organization up for immediate action and ownership across the organization.
Still, NSBE is a national, multi-regional organization with Chapters and members with distinct needs.
Therefore, TGG also o er the following guidance and guiding principles to inform a more organizational-wide process especially beyond the early learning, develppment and experimentation phases that characterize the START SMALL PHASE
These guiding principles will be used to plan the implementation strategy for the strategic articulation.
• Front load revenue lift initiatives to fund preceding critical initiatives, either internally or through BCA / partner sponsors. This allows NSBE to only resource initiatives with a return on investment unless otherwise chosen by leadership (for example, Core initiatives might be investments on the front end)
• Shift SPTF work from strategy formulation to vision building.
Ready, Set and Go are core implementations that must be implemented as a foundation to the plan. Vision Snapshot implementations should be implemented with sequencing, financial and human resource requirements Manage projects through a STAGE-GATE process that SPTF manages with a sub-committee to make sure projects meet requirements to proceed to the next stage in the process. Those stages would include:

Develop the business case and project plan
Develop conceptual model, leverage best practices and plan implementation
