(John 10: 28, 29 ): « A n d I G I V E unto them e te r an d th ey sha ll N E V E R pe rish, sh a ll any m a n plu ck them out h a nd ; “ M y * F a th e r , w h ic h G A V E g r e a t e r th a n a ll ; an d n o man is plu ck them out of m y F a t h e r ’s Believers (born-again ones) will never come into condemnation for th e ir sins (Rom. 8 :1 ):

We wish we could share w ith all “The F am ily” the many h earten ing and encouraging le t ters which come, filled w ith inspiring accounts of battles fought and victor ies won by these valian t soldiers of the Lord who count no t th e ir lives as dear unto themselves so th a t they m ight save something out of the wreck and thu s h asten th e coming of H im whose we are and whom we serve,— bu t lack of space forbids. However, we do w ant you to read what a “Defender” in Illinois has to tell of th e blessing of the Lord upon his testimony:
are ju st “Hope-so” Christians, but the “Know-so’s” are those who know th a t they have passed out of death into the divine life. In dealing w ith those who lack assurance of th e ir salvation, speak first of all of the joyful life th a t should be ours as believers, and of the h u rt th a t it gives, to the h ea rt of our Lord to deny His Word. Here, as w ith every other class of people w ith whom we deal, what we say must be founded upon th e Word of God. Remember th a t the Bible must settle all ques tions w ith which we are confronted in personal work. Ask the questions: .[“ Do you believe the Bible to be the Word of God?” “Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your n Saviour?” “ If you have ac cepted Him, th en you do believe the Word of God which alone reveals Him as your Saviour.” Use one or more of the. following Scriptures as may be necessary to con vince th e person w ith whom you are dealing th a t salvation is a definite, immediate, and etern al state, and th a t his salvation depends upon his faith in the tru th of God’s Word. More th an ever, we are convinced th a t th e hope of th e church, in these days of apostasy, is in its loyal lay men who are able to give to “ every man th a t asketh a reason of th e hope th a t is in th em ” (1 Pet. 3 :1 5 ). Let every one of our “Defenders”, unite in earnest prayer th a t God may greatly bless the service of this dear brother, and then pray th a t many more may be constrained to tell out the Gospel sto ry anywhere and every where the opportunity offers. ' Our h earts should go out to these dear people, for they can never have any real joy or peace; they can never be real servants of th e Lord, nor give a. satisfactory testim ony for Him.
