5. Be Flexible and Always Prepared They must be able to deploy quickly as travel techs. Pack a “go bag” with essentials: • Scrubs, closed-toe shoes • Printed certifications and license copies • Laptop or tablet with Wi-Fi • PPE (mask, gloves, hand sanitizer) • Toiletries and essentials You’ll get the assignments with a few days’ notice, which means you better be ready, so you are the first in line. Build and Nurture Your Network Being the best in any field and knowing that this is your most asset will help you take it further. You could have just one great con- tract, multiple offers, more money, and special project invitations. Maintain professionalism by: • Referring to recruiter calls and emails. • Being transparent about your availability • Keeping in touch with staffing reps you know you trust.

• Taking the requirement of feedback and referrals at each assignment. • Being a good person who supports his coworkers and is a dependable team member. Surprisingly, the travel tech world is small: it takes one second to spread the word around. To stay in demand, be professional, adaptable and respectful. Final Reflection: A Career Like No Other Being a travelling pharmacy technician is far from any- thing minor. You will have new facilities, constantly meet new people, and be dumped into situations where you will constantly need to be able to adapt to situa- tions immediately. However, if you are a person who loves growing and challenging and who does meaning- ful work, you would make this career a thousand times more generous to you. I’ve been a first responder, care - giver, compounding expert, and crisis worker all month. I’ve spent time in the country, building wealth, helping people, and becoming more professional. This isn’t just a job. It’s a journey. I am grateful every day that I took that leap and am glad I did.
