or three times each week to people asking for it in various parts o f the country, and letters o f appreciation similar to those above have been received. Many people every week are assisted by personal interview to a knowledge o f what it means to be a feal Christian. This is increasingly a privilege and the fruit of this ministry will never be known this side o f eternity. A new Bihle study class in Sacramento has taken the form o f personal inquiry by those attending. Last Tuesday there were seven present, and for an hour and a half questions were asked that led to a deeper knowledge’ o f God and* His Word. . Encouraging incidents are constantly happening in the prison classes. One very significant one is now in process o f develop ment. A “Three-time-loser” wjio has been attending the meetings for several months, recently asked: “Will you give me a chance to show you how much this teach ing means to me by being my friend? I will give God the right o f way, and if you will help me to know, I will surely never go back on this decision.” Another boy whose mother died when he was young and whose father has no time or inclination to deal with him said: “ If I had known you before, I would never have been here. I am so glad you want to be my friend, and I assure you I will do all in my power to prove worthy o f the con fidence you put in me.” We are now planning the usual Easter service for the men at San Quentin. The Easter service for the Folsom prisoners will be held on Palm Sunday. This plan wins several new friends each'year, as

One woman living in Iowa writes : “While at San Francisco during the Expo sition, I received one o f your little gospels o f John, and since you suggested writing I will do so. I have been a church mem ber for a long time but have never been satisfied with my ëxperience. I do want to lové God and please Him but I am troubled. It sometimes seems I have never been converted. Can you\help me? I want to find assurance. It seems I do not feel as others seem to feel. It is so hard to pray in public or speak, but I love to pray and I desire to live for Him always. What is the matter with me ?” W e sent literature and wrote a long letter. . Another friend from Toledo, O., writes : “Your letter and package reached me O. K. last night. I have read some o f the booklets you sent, and they are sure Inspir ing. ’ I assure you they are in line for use here among my friends. I took two or three of them to Sunday School today and gave my class an opportunity t o ,select one for a topic o f the lesson. They unanimously chose Blackstone’s ‘Jesús Is Coming.’ The personnel pf the class is young men. I was asked to continue the subject-matter next Sunday, which I certainly shall do.” Frony a minister in the Southland comes these words o f appreciation: “I have carefully studied the books you so kindly sent me, and I am sincerely thankful to God, first, for the books themselves, but more for the great truths they contain.” Bundles o f literature have been sent two
