There was great joy in that house: there is noth­ ing that brings such joy to a home as believing in the Lord Jesus. From the Revised Version it appears that every mem­ ber o f the house rejoiced. Note the results o f genuine conversion: (1) Transforma- . tion from brutality to tender compassion. (2) Open and immediate confession o f Christ in baptism. (3) Great joy. (4) Generous hospitality. And not only was he baptized, but every member o f his household as well. - v. 34.
