Inculpé pour possession de drogue

Conduite dangereuse Le 6 octobre, la Police provinciale de l’Ontario (PPO), dĂ©tachement de Russell, a rĂ©pondu Ă  un incident de conduite dangereuse sur le chemin Russell Nord, Ă  Russell. À cet endroit, un automobiliste a dĂ©noncĂ© le chauffeur d’un vĂ©hicule circulant d’un cĂŽtĂ© et de l’autre de la route. La vitesse du vĂ©hicule n’était pas constante et le vĂ©hicule a Ă©galement circulĂ© sur le gazon d’une rĂ©sidence. Le vĂ©hicule a Ă©tĂ© interceptĂ© et des accusations ont Ă©tĂ© dĂ©posĂ©es Ă  l’endroit du conducteur. Mark Irven, ĂągĂ© de 45 ans, de Nepean, a Ă©tĂ© accusĂ© de conduite dangereuse, conduite avec facultĂ©s affaiblies, taux d’alcoolĂ©mie supĂ©rieur Ă  80 milligrammes. Infractions au Code de la route Une collision est survenue entre deux vĂ©hicules le 30 septembre, sur la rue Principale, Ă  Limoges. Un des vĂ©hicules impliquĂ© dans l’accident a quittĂ© les lieux. Joseph Villeneuve, ĂągĂ© de 56 ans, de Limoges, a reçu un constat d’infraction pour omission de demeurer sur les lieux d’un accident. À Casselman, un vĂ©hicule a Ă©tĂ© interceptĂ© le 3 octobre par l’agent SĂ©bastien Lamarche. AprĂšs vĂ©rification, il a Ă©tĂ© dĂ©terminĂ© que le conducteur ne possĂ©dait pas de permis de conduire. D’autres infractions ont Ă©galement Ă©tĂ© commises. Rolland Matamba-Mubenga, ĂągĂ© de 25 ans, a reçu des constats d’infractions pour: conduite d’un vĂ©hicule sans permis, excĂšs de vitesse (49 km au-dessus de la limite), omission de fournir un permis et omission de fournir des preuves d’assurance. Distraction au volant La distraction au volant est une prĂ©occu- pation grandissante rapporte la PPO alors que les collisions mortelle du Ă  la distrac- tion ont surpassĂ© celles causĂ©es par la con- duite avec facultĂ©s affaiblie. Il s’agit d’une tendance inquiĂ©tante ajoute la PPO. « La plupart des gens n’entreraient pas dans un vĂ©hicule conduit par une personne aux facultĂ©s affaiblies, mais ils courent autant de risques en prĂ©sence d’un conducteur distrait », a dĂ©clarĂ© le surinten- dant en chef Don Bell, commandant de la Division de la sĂ©curitĂ© de la circulation. En Ontario, jusqu’à maintenant cette an- nĂ©e, 47 des 177 dĂ©cĂšs survenus dans des ac- cidents de la route sur le territoire patrouillĂ© par la Police provinciale ont Ă©tĂ© causĂ©s par la distraction au volant, comparativement Ă  32 dĂ©cĂšs liĂ©s Ă  la conduite avec facultĂ©s af- faiblies.

Un homme de Hammond a Ă©tĂ© accusĂ© de possession de drogue. Le 5 octobre, des agents de la PPO effectuaient un contrĂŽle routier Ă  l’intersection des rues Joanisse et Du Golf Ă  Hammond. Une camionnette a Ă©tĂ© interceptĂ©e par les agents qui ont dĂ©tectĂ© l’odeur d’une drogue illicite. Samuel Marleau, ĂągĂ© de 24 ans, de Hammond, devra rĂ©pondre Ă  une accusation de possession de marijuana en deçà de 30 grammes.

Collision sur la 17

Une collision impliquant trois vĂ©hicules est survenue le 30 septembre en fin d’aprĂšs- midi, sur la route 17 Ă  l’ouest de Rockland. On ne rapporte aucune blessure sĂ©rieuse. Selon les renseignements obtenus, il s’agirait d’un cas de distraction au volant.
