Nix Leads Auburn Past LSU Auburn quarterback Bo Nix celebrates with fans after helping lead the Tigers to a victory over LSU on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Nix accounted for 329 all- purpose yards and two touchdowns to help lead No. 22 Auburn to a 24-19 victory over LSU. The Tiger's quarterback completed 23 of 44 passes for 255 yards in the air and a touchdown. He also rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown. JSU to play two home games in October The JSU football program suffered its third loss of the season, as the Gamecocks fell to 2-3 overall following a 31-6 loss at Kennesaw State on Saturday, October 2, 2021. The Gamecocks are set to play two home games at Burgess-Snow Field during the remainder of October. This includes the University's annual homecoming game on October 9, which will be against Stephen F. Austin at 3 p.m. JSU will travel to Sam Houston in Huntsville, TX on October 23, before returning home to close out the month against Central Arkansas on October 30. Photo by Brandon K. Alabama Gymnasts Honored After winning the 2021 Southeastern Conference title last spring, the members of the Alabama gymnastics team received their championship rings on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in front of 100,000-plus fans at Bryant Denny Stadium. It was a great afternoon for Alabama, as the football program went on to pick up a 42-21 win over Ole Miss in the 2021 SEC home opener. Photo Courtesy of Alabama Athletics
