Her client focused and tireless work ethic coupled with her integrity, reflect the heart of Markward Group. From the office in Allentown, Markward Group provides commercial real estate services through- out Eastern PA, the Mid- Atlantic States and beyond. What was your most no- table project, deal or trans- action in 2017? Working with the team on the sale of 236 Brodhead Road, Bethle- hem. How do you manage the work/life balance? I give it my all when I am at work. I do keep connected when I am off if it is possible, but take time away from all electronics and phones to enjoy myself. What impact has social media/networking had on your business? It allows us to market ourselves through other avenues and to people and companies who we might have not been exposed to. Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in, about your current posi- tion andwhy you chose the field you are in today? In 1995, my corporate real estate job was moving out of state, and I was approached by Del Markward, who was opening his own office. What were some of your early goals and did any- thing happen in your ca- reer/profession to change them? One of my first goals was to obtain my Broker License, and I did that im- mediately. What unique qualities and or personality traits do you feel make you most successful in your profes- sion? My attention to detail and follow up. No one likes not feeling important enough to have their calls returned. What challenges and/or obstacles do you feel you needed to overcome to become as successful as you are today? There were very few commercial real es- tate women when I started.

Group was a great opportu- nity as was experiencing the education to become a Broker which gave me the advantage of knowing much more in the field and allowed me to de- velop the tools to excel. Do you feel there are any differences in the way that men and women develop business relationships and if so, what activities or venues do you participate in? I do! I also think we de- velop relationships differently through business by having a common bond with our clients. Tell us a little bit about

Camping, travel- ing and spending time with my family. n
