PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS

A Commitment to Research and Innovation The University of North Texas exemplifies a rich history and commitment to fostering innovative research and education, demonstrating a dedication to advancing knowledge and preparing students for impactful careers in scientific disciplines. Our vibrant and dynamic science programs attract top-tier faculty, fostering cutting-edge research initiatives and providing students with unparalleled opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration. As a result, UNT has emerged as a leading institution in scientific discovery, contributing significantly to the advancement of knowledge and the cultivation of a new generation of skilled, forward-thinking graduates. With the new science and technology (SciTech) building set to open within the next three years, UNT will facilitate interdisciplinary scientific advancements focused on student education and workforce integration. As Brewer Science has a proven reputation for pioneering research and innovation, we believe that a partnership between Brewer Science and UNT has the potential to significantly impact the future of science technology education. To that end, we are pleased to present for your consideration an investment opportunity to develop an exciting and innovative new program at the University of North Texas.

Brewer Science Innovation Leadership Program Designed to engage and empower students in biological science, physics, chemistry, material science, computer science, environmental science and engineering disciplines, the Brewer Science Innovation Leadership Program aims to provide students with further comprehensive and interdisci- plinary education that prepares them to excel in their chosen fields while also equipping them with essential leadership skills. We will engage up to 50 students in the program the first year with a plan to increase the size in years two and three for even greater reach. A faculty leader, possible laboratory work, research projects and/or field involvement will enhance students’ hands-on experiences as well as set Brewer Science apart in its quest for research and innovation. • Research Building Integration: The program will ultimately find its home imbedded in UNT’s new SciTech research building, fostering collaboration and innovation. • Brewer Scholars: Upon program admission and completion, sophomores and juniors can apply to become Brewer Scholars, receiving financial support for their continued education and creating a substantial pipeline of talent for Brewer Science and other science and technology- driven companies. Program Components • Corporate Mentoring: Brewer Science and additional science and technology companies will serve a vital role in the program. Corporate mentors will guide and support students, providing valuable insights into industry expectations and real-world applications. • Visiting Lecturers: Renowned experts from a variety of fields will be invited to deliver lectures, enriching students’ knowledge and broadening their perspectives. • Experiential Learning: The program will emphasize practical learning through possible laboratory work, research projects and/or field experiences. This cross-functional experiential learning component not only enhances students’ experiences but also sets Brewer Science apart in its quest for research and innovation. • Cross Training and Team Projects: Students will work on interdisciplinary teams to address real-world issues, promoting collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills.

Impact and Sustainability The Brewer Science Innovation Leadership Program stands as a program with potential for impact extending beyond the immediate educational and career development of students. This program has the capacity to become a transformative force, shaping future leaders as well as the landscape of scientific innovation and industry/academic collaboration. The Brewer Scholars component of the program offers more than just financial support; it nurtures a sustained talent pipeline for Brewer Science. By supporting sophomores and juniors through their educational journey, the program not only ensures the immediate increased academic success of these individuals but also cultivates a pool of highly skilled graduates ready to contribute to their industry-specific workforce. The impact of Brewer Scholars extends beyond the program, directly benefiting Brewer Science through a continuous influx of top-tier talent for internship opportunities as well as job acquisition upon graduation. The program's emphasis on corporate mentoring, involvement of industry experts as visiting lecturers and collaboration with science and technology companies creates a unique synergy between academia and industry. This engagement ensures that students are not just educated in theoretical concepts but are also equipped with practical insights, industry expectations and real-world applica- tions. Investment Opportunity We respectfully ask for a financial commitment of $1,000,000 over three years to launch the Brewer Science Innovation Leadership Program. Your investment will have a lasting impact on the education and future careers of over 200 students, as well as enhance your ability to recruit top-tier talent. • Brewer Scholars Support: 200+ students will receive a $3,000 award for their program participation. • Program Management: $100,000 per year will assist the faculty and staff in program development, administration and execution.

FIRST YEAR – $250,000 • $100,000 – program development, management • $150,000 – student support awards/Brewer Scholars (up to 50 students)

SECOND YEAR – $350,000 • $100,000 – program development, management • $250,000 – student support awards/Brewer Scholars (up to 80 students)

THIRD YEAR - $400,000 • $100,000 – program development, management • $300,000 – student support awards/Brewer Scholars (up to 100 students)
