“The PhysioFLOW will dramatically change the way heart failure is diagnosed and managed at Ryde Hospital,” he said. “Sometimes it can be difficult to get the resources needed to take and idea to the next level. “But the Innovation Program allowed me to present the excellent results we have achieved with the clinic, and allowed us to share a vision of what it could become.” Switching Channels will use its money to develop a free-to-air mindfulness hospital TV channel ‘Get well sooner’, in conjunction with a professional healthcare production company.
The station will be trialled on Ward 9A at Royal North Shore with scope to roll out further in the future. Suzy said the win was the culmination of years of hard work. “We really believe that our project will have enormous benefit for patients in the general hospital struggling with anxiety and for those wanting to learn new ways to reduce stress, improve their mental health and promote relaxation,” she said. “Winning the innovation grant will mean that we can follow through with our idea that has been in the planning phase for two years, our dream can become a reality.”

Anupam said the money will be used to purchase a PhysioFLOW, a non-invasive haemodynamic monitoring
system that will further develop and expand the capabilities of the clinic.
