Scorpion ® Trailer Attenuator
The Scorpion® TMA Model C folds up and over the bed of flat bed, stake bed, or dump trucks. The Model C with its compact design and balanced weight distribution makes it ideal for high-speed travel. The Scorpion TMA Model C provides TL-3 impact protection. Side mounts are also available.
The Scorpion® Trailer Attenuator, with its unique curved design, gives full width protection to the back of the host vehicle and protects the “coffin corners” of the truck and is NCHRP 350 tested and approved for all mandatory and optional offset and angled impacts. Arrowboard/messageboard sold separately.

Scorpion ® II Metro
Scorpion® Truck or Trailer mounted Impact Attenuators are used to protect against errant vehicles from entering and impacting lane closure vehicles or slow moving work equipment in stationary or mobile work zones. This attenuator has been tested and has PASSED ALL optional and mandatory requirements suggested in the NCHRP-350 Report for TL-3. Additionally, the Scorpion® TMA has passed the UKTD49, 110 km/h (68 mph) test. The Scorpion® II Metro provides full width impact protection by redirecting the impacting vehicle with its patented curved aluminum tube frames, and energy absorbing modules. The curved aluminum tubes provide protection against nuisance impacts while providing re-directional capabilities along the entire length of the TMA. It is MASH-Tested approved.

“Big Sandy” is an Impact Attenuator Sand Barrel that is easy to move and provides external verification of the barrels correct weight of sand and is manufactured from UV stabilized high density polyethylene plastic. Certified to meet the crash worthy requirements of NCHRP 350.
