A Look at WG Employee Champions Inside Western Growers

Founded in 1926, Western Growers represents local and regional family farmers growing fresh produce in Arizona, California, Colorado and New Mexico. Western Growers provides a lobbying voice in state and federal government, affordable health benefits, technology and innovation development, transportation solutions, legal and human resources guidance and more. Behind the association are more than 400 employees who are dedicated to serving America’s food heroes; here is an inside look at one of Western Growers’ champions.

Most People Don’t Know About Me: A lesser-known fact about me is that I am third generation benefits admin. Both my mother and grandmother have dedicated decades to the TPA industry, offering plenty of wisdom in times of need. Favorite Travel Destination: Among the numerous places I’ve explored, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks hold a special place in my heart. The sheer majesty of these natural wonders is truly awe-inspiring.

Favorite WG Memory: My cherished Western Growers memories are the lively Summer Gatherings at our Irvine office. The camaraderie and personal interactions with colleagues I don't often connect with in person have truly transformed WG into a warm family environment for me. Proud Work Accomplishment : One of my most satisfying professional achievements is the successful launch of the innovative WGAT Healthcare Concierge. The privilege of contributing to the development and customization of this solution for our WGAT members, followed by its seamless implementation, has been a thrilling journey. I take immense pride in knowing that our members now possess a sophisticated tool to navigate the intricacies of our healthcare system. Media Favorites: Delving into the captivating Song of Ice and Fire universe, I found immense enjoyment in both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon TV series. Favorite Quote: “It is not enough that we do our best; sometimes we must do what is required.”— Winston Churchill. This quote resonates with me as it emphasizes the significance of surpassing our own notions of excellence and striving for loftier objectives. Sports Allegiance: Despite residing in Wisconsin, my allegiance lies with the Chicago Cubs. As a native of the Chicago suburbs, I’ll always root for the Cubbies. Passion and Hobby: Beyond my professional pursuits, I am inherently an outdoors enthusiast. Exploring national parks with my dog, Marley, and going camping in a tent are my favorites.

Editor’s Note: Tim was recently honored as a recipient of the Employees’ Choice Award, a WG program where employees select and honor fellow team members for their exemplary work and embodiment of the outward mindset.
