PROFESSIONAL & CREATIVE WRITING – Master of Arts in English
Develop publishable writing in multiple genres, establish a professional writing profile, advance in the workplace, and continue to MFA or PhD programs. With mentorship from award-winning writers working in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, professional and technical writing, rhetoric, and research methods, you can develop custom-fit courses of study. Total Credits: 45
Part Time: 4-5 quarters (11 credits a quarter) Full Time: 2-3 quarters (16 credits a quarter) Admission Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution • Admission to CWU School of Graduate Studies • Minimum 3.0 GPA • 3 Letters of Recommendation • 5-10-page writing sample • Cover letter with a statement of graduate education objectives • Copy of unofficial transcripts
• GRE General Test Writing score of 4.0 and above • GRE Verbal score in the 70th percentile and above
