SPORT & ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATION - Master of Science

The Sport & Athletic Administration degree is focused on the types of knowledge and skills designed to enhance one’s effectiveness as an athletic administrator or sport administrator. The former includes interscholastic and intercollegiate athletic administration; the latter is focused on sport administration in the sport industry. Note: Because the requirements to become K-12 athletic directors vary between school districts, student’s intent on pursuing careers in interscholastic athletic administration should check into local school district requirements . New cohorts begin each summer; there are two mandatory summer sessions (6-weeks each from mid-June until the end of July).

Total Credits: 47 Part Time: 4-5 quarters (11 credits a quarter) Full Time: 2-3 quarters (16 credits a quarter) Admission Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution • Meet the general requirements for admission to the School of Graduate Studies • A letter describing the perceived value of this program and your career goals • Current resume • Official transcripts from all institutions for higher learning • Three letters of reference from those who can attest that your background, knowledge, and education make you an important graduate candidate
