King’s School will be singing when they’re winning thanks to new investment

Pupils at King’s School are benefitting from new facilities to help them exercise both their bodies and vocal chords. The school has invested a seven-figure sum in sparkling new facilities for both its renowned sport and music departments.

partnership with Riverside Sports Centre. Sport is something of a newcomer to the school, when it’s compared to a long and proud musical history that is more than half a millennium in the making.

A new floodlit all-weather sports pitch, costing in excess of £1million, has been opened with the aim of allowing the next generation of the school’s talent to flourish on the field. And it won’t just be the King’s pupils that get to play on the start-of-the-art facility, as the school is throwing its doors open to the local community too. The pitch will be available to community groups and Gloucestershire sports enthusiasts for up to 50 per cent of the year, helping to harvest a future generation of the city’s sports stars.
