Fun, games, and prizes were had during the latest trivia event for a good cause. Russell Trivia Night may have happened on April 1, but it was no joke. The Russell Arena opened its doors at 7 p.m. to admit crowds of trivia players who were eager to prove their knowledge and support a good cause. By the end of the last game, the Trivia Night had raised $6,350 for the Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH)’s General Equipment Fund. “Our thanks to Connie Johnston and Russell Trivia Services for a first-class com- petition and to everyone who came to play or provided an auction item,” said Justine Plummer, Manager of Direct Mail and Events. Connie Johnston runs Russell Trivia Ser- vices, an organization that puts together fundraisers for many worthy causes in Rus- sell Township and elsewhere. Most recently, she’s fundraising for a mural to celebrate the village of Russell’s 125th anniversary. All events can be found at https://www. facebook.com/russelltrivia/. Johnston also advertises other fundraisers that are hap- pening in the area.
