The landlord, 1276 Lex Own- er, LLC, controlled by Dennis Riese , built out the interior space and the façade for Mat- tress Firm, which entailed the creation of a new 300 s/f ground-floor entrance with a stairway and an elevator lead- ing to a 3,000 s/f second-floor showroom. “This creative use of space in one of the best retail locations in the city allows Mattress Firm, a rapidly expanding seller of specialty mattresses, to penetrate an important market in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the nation,” said CityVest Realty Corp. president Mark Stempel , who represented the property owner in the 10-year transaction.
