The key latch is a cam style latch that rotates clockwise to unlock the electrical box, and counter clockwise to lock the electrical box.
Simply insert the key into the key hole, and press down firmly while the key is rotated.
When closing the electrical box, the gasket will need to be compressed. This may require additional force in closing the electrical box. Keep in mind, the electrical box also has an interlocking disconnect / emergency shut off switch. If this switch is not deactivated, the door will not open even if the key latch is unlocked.
