Jennifer thrived, and quickly climbed the coaching ranks. By February of 2020 she was an interning Offensive Assistant coach for the Washington Commanders.

The following season she was promoted to Assistant Running Back coach, making her the first Black woman ever to hold a coaching position in the NFL. Back to Her Roots, Forward to the Future Jennifer worked for five seasons in the NFL before taking her playbook back to North Carolina, this time as an Offensive Analyst at North Carolina Central University.
