OUR MISSION By nurturing the artist, we enrich the community. The Art League of Cheatham County develops the artist through education, exhibition, and a stimulating, supportive environment, while sharing the experience of the visual arts with the community. The Art League of Cheatham County is a newly formed 501c3 organization to help celebrate the Fine Arts and Artists in Cheatham County. 1st Annual Fine Show Juried Art Exhibition September 27, Friday 7 pm to 9 pm - Preview Reception and Awards Presentation at the Sycamore Square Cheatham County Government offices at 322 Frey Street, Ashland City, TN. This Preview event is by invitation only and will include Art League Members, judges, artists and their family and friends, as well as special invited guests. September 28, Saturday Exhibition open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm 4 pm to 5 pm. Art not picked up will become property of the Art League of Cheatham County. If you are unable to pick up your art at this time, please make arrangements with a member of the Art League of Cheatham County when you deliver your work. Photo of Art Procedure 2 dimensional work – submit 1 photo per work 3 dimensional work - submit 2 photos per work All photos must be emailed with a high resolution jpeg or pdf files, and if mailed a printed 8.5 x 11 high res photo is required. What is Eligible
All art must be Original to be accepted.
paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, sculpture, fiber art, thrown pottery, and digital art. No work will be accepted created from kits or molds, or work completed in classes or workshops. Work must have been completed within the last 8 years and has not been a recipient of any awards in the past 8 years. All 2 dimensional art must be framed* and wired for hanging and must not exceed 48” in any direction, including mat and frame. Glass is permitted in wood frames; Plexiglas is required in metal frames. 2 dimensional fiber art must be similarly ready to hang. Only prints hand pulled by artist will be considered for acceptance. All 3 dimensional art must be assembled and ready for display. Base or stand must be supplied. Work must not exceed 100 pounds or measure more than 48” in any direction. Each artist may submit up to a maximum of three entries *Wrapped around canvas is the only exception, only if the art covers the wrapped around area of the canvas stretchers and is wired to hang.
All photos must include: name, title, and medium.

Rules and Regulations
Risk & Liability Signature on the entry card constitutes agreement by the entrant that there shall be NO liability on the part of the Art League of Cheatham County for loss, damage, or destruction of any art work(s) during the calendar period herein. Insurance of art work(s) is the sole responsibility of the participating artist. All reasonable care will be taken when handling art works. Artist Checklist Sign and return the entry form / release agreement by Mail: P.O. Box 458 / Pleasant View, TN 37146 Email: Artleagueofcheathamcounty@gmail.com Enclose a non-refundable check for members for $15 per entry (maximum of $45 for 3 entries) for non- members for $25 per entry (maximum of $75 for 3 entries) Make checks payable to the Art League of Cheatham County. Submit high resolution photo in jpeg or pdf format, or printed photo (if mailing) of art work(s) Provide a brief artist statement about your work. Upon Acceptance Accepted artists will be mailed or emailed confirmation of acceptance approximately September 13th. At that time, you will be provided with an ID for your work of art. All work must be tagged or labeled with these completed ID forms before it will be accepted into the show on September 28th. Deliver accepted artwork to the new Sycamore Square Government Offices in Ashland City at 322 Frey Street between 3 pm and 7 pm CST on Thursday, Sept 26th. Sales ID form must contain a sale price or NFS (not for sale). No commission will be charged. Sold work must remain hanging through close of show. Artist must indicate on each ID tag a sales price, otherwise considered not for sale. Entry Fees Artists may enter up to a maximum of three (3) pieces, at a cost of $15 per entry for members and $25 per entry for non members. All entry fees are non- refundable, except in the event the show is not held. To become a member, add $50 for annual dues so you can take advantage of the lower entry fee(s).
Important dates
September 10 Complete entry forms, fees, and photos must be received by close of business day. September 13 Approximate date of show acceptance notification by email. September 26 3 pm - 7 pm. Deliver accepted art pieces to the lobby of the Sycamore Square Government offices. Art must be hand delivered on this date. September 27 Show is open to Art League members, judges, artists and their family and friends, and special invited guests. Awards, Preview event and Artists Reception will be held from 7 pm - 9 pm.
September 28 Show opens to the public
from 10 am - 4 pm. (no admission charge)
September 28 4 pm - 5 pm pick up artwork. Artwork not picked up will become property of the Art League of Cheatham County.
