Fall Edition 2021

post). If you’re visiting from My Soulful Home, welcome! I was in Trader Joe’s the other day stocking up on more snacks than this house probably needs, and they had the cutest baby boos. So I snatched up a few along with a bundle of eucalyptus (my fave Trader Joe’s sercy). I found a $10 plaid tablecloth at HomeGoods the same day too, and even though these melamine charger plates came from the clearance aisle at Pier 1 because they’re technically meant for outdoors, they sort of reminded me of white pumpkins. I’ve had these linen napkins for a year now, and I use them all the time because they work for any time of year. Neutrals aren’t boring; they’re versatile, am I right? They stay in my decor capsule at all times along with these brass candlesticks I got for $2 each this summer. Classic for the win! “Neutrals aren’t boring; they’re versatile...” This year, most of our family will not be able to make it for Thanksgiving (and we’re kind of sad about it), but a low-key Thanksgiving is every bit as special. To keep these baby boos looking fresh until Turkey Day, I plan to dip them in bleach and spray them with a coat of polycrylic. And I can dry the eucalyptus to keep it around until the big day. The rest of the fall decor in our breakfast nook is just this autumn vegetable tea towel I put in a poster frame...and these fall flowers I got on sale at Michael’s for our repurposed banister planter. I guess before I get too excited, we should get through Halloween first.
