ACTIVE TRANSPORT (BIKES/SCOOTERS)
We encourage all students to use active transportation, such as bikes and scooters, for their journey to and from school. This not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also supports sustainable practices within our community. There are ample bike paths located around the estate to assist with active transport methods to and from school. To support this initiative, we have a secured bike/scooter shed located between the STEM building, the school shed, and Collingwood English Language School - South Morang Campus. This shed is locked during the school day to ensure the safety of your equipment. PARKING For the safety and convenience of our school community, please take note of the following parking guidelines: Drop - off Loop: There is a designated dro - poff loop for parents and carers off the Jardier Terrace entrance. This area is designed for quick drop - offs and pick - ups. We ask all motorists to be especially mindful of students walking and riding their bikes or scooters at these entrance and exit points to ensure everyone ’ s safety. Family Parking: Ample parking is available along both Jardier Terrace and Gordons Road for families. Please use these spaces when visiting the school. Limited access is available in the staff car park throughout the day.
For the safety of all, we expect every student using active transportation to: • Abide by all traffic and road rules. • Be mindful of pedestrians, especially around the school premises. • Use school crossings when navigating busy roads. • Always wear helmets while riding or scooting.
Disability Accessible Parking: Disability accessible parking spaces are located at the entrance and exit points of the Jardier Terrace car park. Please keep these spaces free for those who are eligible to access them. Senior Student Parking: Senior students who drive themselves to school are asked not to park in the staff carpark. Instead, we request that you use the all - day parking available along Gordons Road.
