FAMILY PARTNERSHIPS

The Lakes believes that strong family - school partnerships are foundational to the success of our students. Families are not just observers in their child's education; they are valued members of our College community and equal partners in the learning journey, empowering students to achieve their full potential.

Our College is built on the values of Learning, Leadership, Teamwork, and Respect, and these values guide our approach to family engagement.

Learning: Learning does not begin and end in the classroom. When families engage in their child ’ s education, support their learning at home, and stay informed about their progress, their academic success is enhanced.

Leadership: Every family is viewed as a leader in their child ’ s education. Family insights, aspirations, and expectations help shape the educational path that young people take. Families are encouraged to lead with confidence and integrity and take active roles in decision - making processes and advocacy for their children. Teamwork: Education is a shared responsibility. Our College thrives on the collaboration between families, teachers, and students. We believe in open communication and mutual support, where the school and families work as a team to address challenges, celebrate successes and create the shared conditions for learners to thrive. Respect: At the core of any strong partnership is respect. We respect and value the diverse experiences, cultures, and perspectives that families bring to our community. By fostering a culture of respect, all families are valued and included. Mutual respect strengthens our relationships and enhances our College community.
