COLLEGE CAPTAIN ’ S MESSAGE

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to The Lakes South Morang College! As your College Captains, we are excited to welcome you to our amazing school community. Starting at a new school is a big step, and we want you to know that you are not alone – we are here to support you and make your transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We remember how we felt when we first started at The Lakes – a mix of excitement and nerves. It ’ s a big change, but it ’ s also an incredible opportunity to make new friends, discover new interests, and learn new things. There ’ s so much to look forward to!

Here are a few tips to help you get settled:

1. Be Open and Friendly : Don ’ t be afraid to introduce yourself to new people. Everyone is in the same boat, looking to make friends and find their place. Smile, say hello, and join in conversations. 2. Get Involved : Our school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities – from sports teams and music bands to drama clubs and student councils. Getting involved is a great way to meet new people and discover what you ’ re passionate about. 3. Ask for Help : If you ’ re ever feeling overwhelmed or unsure about something, don ’ t hesitate to ask for help. Your teachers, older students, and school staff are all here to support you. We ’ ve all been in your shoes and know how it feels. 4. Have Fun : Enjoy the experience! School is a time for learning and growth, but it ’ s also a time to have fun and make memories. Participate in school events, cheer on your friends, and make the most of every opportunity.

We ’ re excited to see what you ’ ll bring to our College community and can ’ t wait to get to know you. If you see us around, feel free to say hi and ask any questions you might have. We ’ re here to help you have the best start possible.

Welcome to The Lakes! Let ’ s make this year amazing together! College Captains
