Les Hawks n’auront joué que 60 mi- nutes en 11 jours lorsqu’ils recevront Rockland, ce vendredi 31 janvier. «Il y a une raison pour laquelle ils sont premiers», a déclaré l’entraineur en chef Rick Dorval, en lien avec la défaite honorable des siens de 3-0, le vendredi 24 janvier, contre les meneurs incontestés de la CCHL depuis cinq ans, les Canadians de Carleton Place. « On a fait quelques erreurs couteuses, mais c’est un bon barème. Ça nous permet de voir où on est rendus», a-t-il continué. Éviter la rouille Le lendemain, les Hawks devait recevoir Cornwall. Mais, en raison de la tempête de neige verglaçante qui s’est abattue sur la région, la joute a été remise à une date non déterminée. La troupe de Rick Dorval s’est donc retrouvée devant une longue pause de six jours. «Le danger est que les gars s’écrasent sur le divan et paressent, a soulevé l’entrai- neur. C’est pour ça que l’entrainement d’aujourd’hui (lundi) est très physique, pour secouer les puces! Le reste de la semaine sera consacré au jeu et à la tactique.» Le vendredi 31 janvier, les Hawks reçoivent les Nationals de Rockland, qui sont en tête de la division Yzerman, juste devant Hawkesbury. Le match débute à 19h30.
