HANDOVER OF THE YOUTH7 COMMUNIQUÉ TO FEDERAL CHANCELLOR SCHOLZ
A high-level exchange with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz marked a highlight of the Youth7 Summit 2022 and its conclusion. The Youth7 Communiqué was handed over to Federal Chan- cellor Scholz by Co-Chairs Carolina Claus and Benjamin Günther and Head Delegates. In an inspiring speech, Federal Chancellor Scholz emphasised the necessity of global cooperation in challenging times, placing reference on a meaningful inclusion of voices from the Global South. He expressed his gratitude to the Delegations of the Youth7 partner countries for representing their regions and countries’ perspectives and thereby enriching the G7 youth policy dialogue. In a Q&A session, Delegates highlighted, among other topics, Germany’s initiative to form an Inter- national Climate Club and the role of mental health in education and health systems.
