Students experience a well-rounded curriculum that balances rigorous academics with meaningful arts instruction in one of six disciplines—Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Music (Instrumental or Vocal), Theatre Technology, and Visual Arts. Early exposure to the arts encourages confidence, teamwork, and self-expression, helping students discover who they are as learners and artists. The middle school years at SOTA are a time of exploration and growth. Families can trust that their students are supported by educators who nurture their academic, emotional, and artistic development. SOTA helps students lay a strong foundation for success in high school and beyond, building the skills, discipline, and creativity that will serve them for a lifetime. Admission to SOTA is based on a formal audition process. Students will be scheduled for an audition once they complete the SOTA application. The application deadline is December 19, 2025, and auditions will take place in January. Visit www.sotarochester.org for more information, including the application.
