Whitney and I would like to welcome you to our 3rd annual sale. I also want to thank all of our bidders from last year, and repeat customers. What an exciting time to be in the cattle business! We have all sold feeders for record prices, and it feels good to be rewarded for our efforts. With the demand for high quality beef, and a nationwide shortage of cows, we should be in for a fun ride for the foreseeable future. Whether you’re producing replacement females, feeder calves, or breeding a group of heifers there are bulls here to suit your needs.
We have several highlights this year including three red bulls sired by IR Imperial D948. We flushed him to the T-99 Donor who is the dam of 2022 top selling bull. She is a Built Right cow that continues to bring it! I like these bulls as they are each a little different, but all carry good structure. The successful flush sired several females who have gone to multiple, success - ful programs around the Midwest in addition to ours. It’s no secret that pounds across the scale drive this industry. We have some new sire groups this year that I know you will appreciate. These bulls have outstanding epds and will add the pay weight you are looking for. There is a great opportunity here to tap into some new and up - coming bulls that are exciting for the industry.
The commercial females in the offering have become a highlight of the sale. The black heifers are right out of the heart of our program. The females are guaranteed open, pelvic measured, and UTD on all vaccines. The red females are a first time offering of our herd sire “Hector.” Hector is a Reddington son selected for frame and performance, and he steps down on an incredible foot. Pay attention to these ½ blood SimAngus red heifers because they just don’t come up for sale everyday.
