Main duties and responsibilities
• To manage the Sales team and support them with account and client management, enquiry handling and conversion of bookings.
• To fully understand the venues portfolio across all sites and set clear charge templates for the team.
• Identifying new commercial opportunities and revenue streams.
• Ensure that the booking system (Kinetics) is up to date regarding rates, BOH management and procedures including bookings & invoicing. • To support the Head of QM Operations & Venues in developing a Venue & Summer Accommodation strategy. • Ensure that the Academic lets (accommodation) as well as Summer Schools and B&B rentals are managed correctly and allocated to its maximum commercial benefit.
• To provide accurate reporting on income and forecast for the venues.
• Maintaining and increasing the annual sales target.
• Monitor sales performance and provide clear reporting to Senior Management.
• To oversee the effective management of staff in line with the Directorate and University policies and procedures, promoting wellbeing and continuous development of all staff through management and role modelling for your direct reports particularly. • The post holder will support the Head of QM Operations and Venues in annual budget setting together with the Senior Events Manager. • Maintain effective communications and working relationships with Estates professionals, especially Catering, Timetabling as well as the Accommodations team.
