USFWS following a delisting decision that will lay out the monitoring efforts that will be needed to ensure impacts or changes to the population increase trends do not go unnoticed. NCWRC and partners will continue to monitor Wood Stork nesting colonies regularly, as required in the monitoring plan. In addition, NCWRC will continue to work with private landowners and partners to maintain and enhance nesting and foraging habitats, while also pursuing opportunities to conserve and protect important wetlands, address invasive species issues, and support water quality restoration and protection efforts.
