Luke Scheidecker, the Athletic Director and Head Women's Basketball Coach at Wabash Valley College has had an eventful journey since coaching in Mount Carmel.
He worked at WVC for two years, left for two, then came back. He also helped out at Indiana State for a while. One of Luke's best memories? Last year's signing day, when 10 talented young women committed to their next sports adventures. It's a moment he'll always treasure. Juggling the roles of athletic director and head coach isn't easy, but Luke handles it well. He loves making a positive impact on students' lives. Luke's hard work paid off—he was recently named the 2024 Women's Basketball College Association (WBCA) Two-Year College Coach of the Year. He led the Lady Warriors to win the 2024 GRAC conference then off to new heights making it to the final four of the NJCAA national tournament. The Lady Warriors completed their season 12-0 in the conference and an 29-3 overall showing he's a top-notch coach and leader.
