Consensus Sustainability Report - 2025

Our Stories

Litter Picking Champions To celebrate Global Recycling Day, the people who live and work at a Consensus service in Northamptonshire, set out on their own clean-up of their local parks and green spaces. Armed with litter pickers and rubbish bags, they collected rubbish before taking it home to sort, clean and recycle. Just doing their part to keep their local public spaces clean and safe for all to enjoy; showing you don’t need to wait for an event to go out and make a difference. Sustainability in Season A Consensus service in East Midlands showed us just how much of an impact something simple can have on our environment, health and happiness. They put together an amazing proposal to get the people they support involved with growing their own veggies (packed with research including a seasonal planting schedule) - and it showed not only the environmental benefits, but the cost savings, team building and diet improvements that it could have. The Green Team At a Consensus service in Desborough, each member has their own superpower that they use to make their home more sustainable. With Sharon the queen of energy-efficient laundry, Cheryl the ‘Dinner Lady’ who makes sure food is never wasted, upcycling superstar Kim who gives new life to old furniture, and Heather who learned how to transform old crisp packets into insulated blankets to donate to local shelters - each action has a massive impact.
