THE TAAF WINTER GAMES OF TEXAS
ATHLETICS
The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Winter Games of Texas, an Olympic-style, multisport event, has been hosted annually by the City of Pearland since 2018. January 15–18, 2021 will mark the fourth and final year that the event will be held in Pearland. The event attracts thousands of amateur youth and adult athletes from across the state of Texas and beyond to compete in sporting events such as gymnastics, swimming, archery, powerlifting, flag football and more. Athletes compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals across different sports and multiple divisions. Athletes range in age from 6 years to more than 80 years. The event provides significant economic impact to Pearland through dining, shopping and hotel occupancy taxes. The TAAFWinter Games provide an opportunity to showcase the community and howwe do things the “Pearland Way.” Many City departments and community partners provide necessary support to make this event possible. Join us on Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend to watch the incredible athletes compete . . . right here in Pearland. Most events are free to spectators. More information and registration for athletes can be found online at taaf.com . We can’t wait to see you at the 2021 TAAF Winter Games!
