David Cant, Superintendent Our City Mission fo r men, situated in the center o f the city. Meetings are held from 10:00 o’clock in the morning until 10:00 o’clock at night, includlng a Noon day Business Men’s Prayer Meeting and personal work. Hundreds of men are reached here every day. NE could hardly fail to he im pressed with all the various types of men who drift into Biola Hall and are dealt with individually regarding their relationship to our blessed Lord Jesus Christ. Nor could we fail to he im pressed likewise yWith the class of per sonal workers who apparently gain real and lasting results. God has always been pleased to use simple little things to bring about big results. David s sling could down a real giant, while Jesse’s great stalwart sons were passed over and the ruddy shepherd lad was chosen for Israel’s king. It’s just the same in our day— the humble, modest lads, who are never conspicuous for their oratory, “ get there” . Regarding conversions, we will single out a few from the many last week. We were introduced to a man who not so very long ago had his seat in the Wall Street Stock Exchange. Big money was constantly passing through his hands, so you can form some concep tion of his ability. The contrast be tween this Wall Street magnate and our little chap who did the honors and really landed this big fish was striking. The broker, when recently accosting a “ minister of the cloth” regarding the ’Way of Life, was left in the dark by this blind leader of the blind. Now he found what his heart hungered for through just a poor sinner saved by grace, who was weak on grammar hut strong on the Word of God, and, trust ing alone in the Holy Spirit’s guidance, used the sword to the saving of a soul. "I know not how the Spirit moves, con vincing men of sin, Revealing Jesus through the Word, cre ating faith in Him.”
