T H E K I N G ’S B U S I N E S S is God’s plan for him to do so for the fo l low ing reasons: (1) The Lord is using him so graciously and largely in the revival of the saints and in leading them into fu ll yieldedness fbr the Master’s service. (2) Such large numbers of sinners have been and are being awakened and saved, many o f whom had lapsed from our churches, and many being utterly down and out. (3) The spirit of prayer for revival and expectation o f it, is deep and widespread in Ulster and far beyond it. There is urgent and desperate need fo r such work all over our province and entire country and God has given our brother the ear of the people in a very exceptional way. (4) There are four times as many invi tations npw as can be filled, unless a more lengthened stay can be made. (5) The missions have increased in in tensity and interest, in power and extent o f blessing, as the campaign has gone bn, and NOW is the time and the opportunity. The first mission at Belfast is now on. The second week is finishing tonight. The hall, designed to seat 1800, is crammed with 3000* many standing in the aisles, vestibules, etc. Tonight hundreds were turned away. The inquiry rooms are crowded every night, and over 100 each night have been com ing out for Christ. Prom 20 to 25 ministers from different churches on the platform , and the call to sinners only begun. To . what w ill this thing grow ? W ould it not be a sin not to go to "every section o f the city, as w ell as to the provincial towns which are clam or ing fo r our brother’s valued service? I am enclosing letters from the other members o f the A dvisory Council, prayer fu lly considered and expressed.” • (Signed} S. G. MONTGOMERY. We had looked forward with great expectation to the return of our Brother Nicholson in August of this year, for the need in this country for definite soul-saving work is just as great as it is in Ireland. However, it is true that the response of the people there to the preaching of the Gospel seems to be much greater than it is here, and a real spirit of revival seems to be sweeping through, not only Ireland, but also Scotland and other portions of Great Britain. As Mr. Nicholson says, “ This seems to be God’s set time” for that land. We rejoiee in the wonderful oppor tunity, and our hearts are glad to know that God is so blessedly using Mr. Nich olson. Put him on your piayer list and thus have a share in his work and in the results. DR. CORTLAND MYERS The readers of The King’s Business will be interested in the following ex cerpt from a letter just received from Atlanta, Georgia, where a great Bible Conference has just been held, in which Dr. Cortland Myers and other well- "known Bible teachers took part: DID YOU HEAR
584 Jesus was; He was eternal. Was Bud dha eternal? To me there is no com parison here. ‘In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with Clod.’ There>was more than one person in thè Godhead. Was Mohammed a match for this? Here is another statement in the Book that I want td show you. ‘All things, were made by him.’ We find in Him omnipotence. Another attribute that He possessed was omniscence. ‘Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, When thou wast under ,the fig tree, I saw thee.’ He knew the'character of Nathanael, and he also knew the char acter of the woman at the well. He knows everything that Buddha does not know. And too, omnipresence is in Him. He said to Nathanael, T saw thee.’ Nathanael saith unto him, Thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.’ Buddha could not create. Mohammed could not create, but Jesus could. He took five loaves of bread and fed the multitude. Is there any con trast between Jesus and ' other reli gions?” He said, “ Yes.” Then I said, “ Let me tell you what Jesus does for His followers. He takes away the sin of the world. Does anyone take away sin except Jesus? Then Jesus died, and by His death he removed the guilt of sin. ‘But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Goa, even to them that believe on his name.’ Any one can do this.” , At this point the young man was called away, but the result of dealing with him was that the four young men who had been standing by, listening to this conversation, were saved. Even if 1 have ,only .one chance with a man, I never .leave him without his knowing definitely how to accept Jesus. WONDERFUL SEASONS OP RE- : FRESHING IN IRELAND Thé following letter has been re ceived from the Ulster Evangelistic Committee, in charge of the campaign which hâs been conducted by Evangelist Wm. P. Nicholson in Ireland for the last two years: "Dear Mr. Horton: . For Some time I have had a strong and deep conviction, which has grown stronger and déeper daily, that our friend, Rev. Wm. P: Nicholson, should not leave Ireland this year, but should give 'at least another year, up to July, 1923, for the evangelistic 'campaign in his native land; and that it
