T H E K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S every minister and Christian worker be faithful in receiving and giving God’s message? Are all Christians set as watchmen? Should all Christians warn the wicked? What will be the doom of. the wicked if the Christians do not warn them? What will rest upon the Chris tian if he does not warn the wicked? “ Am I my brother’s keeper?” What deliverance is promised to the righteous if he warn the wicked? Is every Chris- tion held responsible for the unsaved souls with whom he comes in contact? Ought not every Christian then to be watching for opportunities to speak to The Shepherd and His Sheep. Ezek. 34:11-16. Memory Verse.— “ I am the good shep herd.” John 10:11. Approach.-VDescribe how the shep herds in Syria care for and defend their flocks, in regard to their various needs and perils. How hard and how long Jacob worked by day and by nights—Arnold’s Practical Commentary. Besson Story.—Now, boys and girls, let us think of our story for last week, and I will tell you of one picture I can see in my mind. I see a king with a great army of soldiers gathering around a large city on the outside of the wall. Now, Helen, you tell us what you see. Some soldiers trying to dig through the wall. Charles, what do you see? Some little children crying for food. (Go on in this way until you have reviewed the lesson.) Now, all these pictures are such sad pictures, but they aré true, and God has put them in the Bible so that we will not make the same mistake

these people made, by disobeying God. Today we have a story about another one of God’s faithful prophets whose name is Ezekiel, and he makes us think of a shepherd, for he watched so faith fully over God’s people, so the name of- our story is “ The Shepherd and His Sheep.” The heathen king Nebuchad nezzar, had carried many of the people away from Jerusalem back to his own country, where the people worshipped idols, so they were surrounded on all sides with people who did not love God. Now, even though Israel had disobeyed God, and were suffering because of their disobedience, yet they were the only people left to keep alive the knowledge of the one true God. So God sent Eze kiel to the people to tell them of God, and warn them to be faithful and obey God’s word. God had two preachers working for Him at this time, for every thing depended on Ezekiel in Chaldea and Jeremiah in Jerusalem with the people who were left behind to take care of the crops. Now, if these two men had failed God, the people would have been led away into idolatry. We know how hard it was for them to talk to the people, for many of them did not want to hear God’s word, and they treated Ezekiel very cruelly and made fun of him when he was telling them the message God had given him. Both Ezekiel and Jeremiah knew they were speaking the truth, for it was God’s word, and they would not stop even if the people killed them for doing what God had sent them to do. Ezekiel was like the faithful shepherd, he took good care of the people to whom God sent him. The good Shepherd, Jesus, loves His sheep. Our memory verse tells us that Jesus is the good Shepherd. Are we following Jesus? You know the sheep follow their shepherd, and so if we truly belong to Jesus, we will follow Him by doing what He asks us to do in his Word, the Bible. Closing Prayer.
