THANKS TO ITS EXTENSIVE EXPE RIENCE OF airport management worl- dwide, parent company VINCI Airports is boosting growth and creating additi- onal value for the passengers and par- tners of the main Serbian airport during the concession project. Modernisation works continued without major disrup- tions even during the state of emer- gency declared in Serbia, in accordan- ce with all the recommendations and preventative health and safety measu- res prescribed by the relevant authori- ties. Together with construction partner VINCI Terna Construction JV and its subcontractors, BELGRADE AIRPORT has developed a specific plan to miti- gate the negative impacts of the pan- demic on the dynamics of works and projected deadlines. ‘’We expect the major works to be executed over the next three ye- ars. These include terminal expansi- on, new, inserted runway and additio- nal taxiways construction, additional aircraft parking positions, a new de-/ anti-icing pad, additional car parking spaces, as well as new access roads. Thanks to the planned capacity upgra- des, the airport, which last year served around 6.2 million passengers, will be able to handle a projected 15 million pa- ssengers by the end of the concession period. Our aim is to significantly impro- ve the level of service, comfort and va- riety of commercial offers at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport,” said BELGRADE AI- RPORT CEO Francois Berisot.
