U pon landing and disembarking at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, passengers pass through passport control, col- lect their luggage at the baggage reclaim area, pass cus- toms controls and exit the terminal building. This process, as the last leg of the aviation journey, takes its own course. Howev- er, sometimes something dierent happens that also forms part of the life of every airport, and for which we have also prepared pro- cedures. Specically, it can happen that a passenger waits in front of the baggage conveyor belt only for their luggage not to show up. In such cases, passengers should address our Lost & Found ser- vice to report lost or delayed luggage. The passenger receives a report and form to ll in their data, the address to which luggage should be delivered, and a description of the suitcase with as many details as possible. After reporting and lling in the report form, the Lost & Found service at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport contacts the airport of de- parture to enquire as to where the baggage was delayed and when the airport of departure – in cooperation with the airline in ques- tion – will be able to forward the delayed luggage to Belgrade. In an eort to provide passengers with additional information, Bel- grade Nikola Tesla Airport has made an addition to the home page of

its website, www.beg.aero, in the section Practical Guide / Baggage / Delayed Baggage / Electronic Baggage Track- ing, to provide a new ser- vice in the form of real-time checks of the status of de- layed baggage. U 2018. godini od svih putnika koji su doputovali u Beograd koristeći usluge Aerodroma Nikola Tesla Beograd svega 0,67 odsto putnika prijavilo je neprispeli prtljag presedanja između dva leta na tranzitnom aerodromu ili tehničko ograničenje prtljažnika vazduhoplova. Sve neprispele prtljage Aerodrom potražuje pet da- na od dana prijave i formiranja zapisnika. Nakon toga traganje za prtljagom prelazi u nadležnost avio-kompa- nije čije je usluge putnik koristio, pa se putnik nakon tog perioda može obratiti avio-kompaniji. Služba traganja za prtljagom Aerodroma Nikola Te- sla Beograd nalazi se neposredno pored karusela za pre- uzimanje prtljaga i putnicima je na raspolaganju non- stop. Osoblje službe obučeno je i spremno da učini sve što je moguće kako bi putnicima u što kraćem roku pri- stigao prtljag i kako bi ta neprijatna situacija što ma- nje uticala na ostatak njihovog putovanja ili prijatan boravak u našoj zemlji. Od momenta stizanja prtljaga na Aerodrom Nikola Tesla Beograd u roku od jednog dana prtljag će biti isporučen na adresu koju je putnik naveo u zapisniku. Usluga isporuke prtljaga na kućnu adresu je besplatna. Preporuka putnicima je da se u vezi sa pravilima putovanja i eventualnim refundiranjem obrate direk- tno avio-kompaniji čije su usluge koristili.

This automatic baggage tracking system is unique to all international airports. In 2018, only 0.67 per cent of all passengers arriving in Belgrade via Nikola Tesla Airport reported delayed baggage. The success rate for found baggage is 99 per cent. The most common reasons for delayed baggage is short trans- fer times between two ights or technical limitations of aircraft bag- gage compartments. Nikola Tesla Airport maintains responsibility for all delayed bag- gage within ve days of the date of reporting. After that period, the relevant airline is in charge of tracking lost luggage, so passen- gers may then address the airline that operated their ight directly. The Baggage tracking and Lost & Found service of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is located next to the baggage conveyor sys- tem and is available 24 hours a day. Personnel are well trained and will make every eort to reunite passengers with their luggage as soon as possible, and to ensure this unpleasant situation has the least possible negative eect on their journey and their pleasant stay in our country. The moment delayed baggage arrives at Bel- grade Nikola Tesla Airport, the process begins to deliver it to the address provided in the report within one day. Delivery to a home address is free of charge. Passengers are advised to contact the relevant airline for rules of travel and possible compensation or refunds.
