We remain committed to supporting our future generations who want to improve their theoretical knowledge and acquire skills that will be of great importance for both them and the future of the airline, said CEO Naysmith THE MEMORANDUM WAS JOINTLY SIGNED ON 5 th August by First Deputy PM and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ružić, Air Serbia CEO Duncan Naysmith and Aviation Academy Director Goran Cvijović, with Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and representatives of educational and aviation instituti- ons in attendance. Alongside Air Serbia, the memoran- dum was also signed by MTU Maintenance Serbia and Serbia And Montenegro Air Traffic Services, SMATSA. Based on this Memorandum, students of the Colle- ge who will be educated according to the dual model of higher education in the field of aviation, i.e., at the Avia- tion Academy, will be able to acquire and develop the- ir knowledge and skills at Air Serbia. Together with the mentors in our company, students will have the oppor- tunity to improve their theoretical knowledge and rai- se their professional competencies through professional development programmes. According to Air Serbia CEO Duncan Naysmith, it is a great honour for the company that the successful co- operation with the Aviation Academy is continuing and that, after signing the Memorandum, Serbia’s national airline will have the opportunity to contribute to the deve- lopment of a dual model of higher education in aviation. “We remain committed to supporting our futu- re generations who want to improve their theoretical knowledge and acquire skills that will be of great impor- tance for both them and the future of the airline. I wo- uld like to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Edu- cation, Science and Technological Development and the Aviation Academy, and to all the other parties dri- ving the development of the aviation industry in Ser- bia,” said CEO Naysmith. Accompanied by PM Brnabić and media repre- sentatives, all signatories of the Memorandum had the opportunity to tour works on the reconstruction of the future Training Centre of the Aviation Academy, as well as the reconstructed building, where the pilot training ro- om and simulator will be designed and adapted to Air Serbia’s needs.
