During the finals of the largest European basket- ball club competition, a total of about 160 flights dedicated to this event were handled. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport was ready to welcome all the guests, players, management, officials and fans of all four teams participating in the Final Four tour- nament of Europe’s biggest club basketball competition. During the tournament, Bel- grade Airport set two new records: On Friday, 18 th May, a new daily re- cord was set, with 11,828 passengers arriv-
ing in Belgrade, while on Monday 21 st May there was a new daily record of more than 13,000 passengers departing Belgrade. On Friday 18 th May, Belgrade Airport handled 81 scheduled flights, with 13 addi- tional wide-body charter and extra sched- uled flights, as well as 33 general and busi- ness aviation flights. In total, about 20 per cent more flights were handled than on a regular Friday, while on Monday about 240 aircraft movements were made - a quarter more than usual.
