Sa Zoranom Cvijanovićem u predstavi Prah With Zoran Cvijanović in the play “Powder”

A ctress Nataša Ninković (45) is the winner of this year’s 15th consecutive “Žanka Stokić” act- ing award, which is awarded by the National Theatre, company ‘Nov- osti’ and the City of Požarevac. The deci- sion was made by a majority of votes of the jury presided over by actress Milena Dravić, and it is particularly precious to Nataša because it is the only female prize. - It’s a wonderful award, established by great actress Mira Stupica. It is left up to us recipients to endeavour to perse- vere and continue along that path. When I found out that I has received the award, I was extremely happy! Then there was a moment of discomfort and self-doubt, and then joy. How much do awards mean to you? - Every prize and compliment feel nice. They know how to console, exon- erate and feed you a little, but, of course, they don’t all have the same significance. There are many factors that determine an award’s value. Have you ever wanted to try some other profession? - I’ve always wanted to be an actress. Which format do you love the most and why: theatre, film, TV? - I love good projects that drive and provoke me; that move me out of my com- fort zone. It doesn’t matter at all where they are.

What has acting brought you, and what has it taken from you? - It has brought me a lot of joy, won- derful moments, travel, exchanges, lots of wonderful souls with whom I’ve shared both tears and laughter. And a lot of tur- moil, suspicion, reconsiderations! Short- comings and losses, if there were any, have nothing to do with the profession, but rather are down to me personally. Is there a role that you imagine playing, and an actor or actress with whom you haven’t acted and would like to? - There are colleagues who I like and with whom I would gladly share an acting space again. There are few with whom I ha- ven’t worked, and I believe that if its nec- essary we will perform together. Have you had periods when you ha- ven’t had any work? - I have, but they weren’t long! There are so many things I still want to do, and when I do get a break I don’t know what to do first. That’s why I experienced those breaks as gifts! Do you have any interest in dealing with some other artistic profession that’s close to yours; to try your hand at directing, scriptwriting etc.? - If my acting breaks had lasted longer, I’d probably have taken some project on myself and done something in the thea- tre. Theatre can happen everywhere!
