Prvi proizvod nemačkog proizvođača Opel , u drugoj polovini 19. veka, bile su mašine za šivenje The first products of German manufacturer Opel, in the second half of the 19 th century, were sewing machines
the workshop. He constructed and produced machines that eased and accelerated their work. In the late 1970s, while leang through family al- bums, Milivoj came across a picture of the Fordson tractor from the beginning of our story. Quite by acci- dent, Milivoj discovered that another example of this very same model existed in the vicinity of Kragujevac. He went to check it out and was surprised to nd se- veral other similar machines. It was then that he ca- me up with the idea of buying them all and thus so- mehow preserving them from disappearing from this area. Unbeknownst to him, he had thus laid the foun- dations for today’s museum. Initially just a small colle- ction of only a few tractors housed in an old shed, as the collection grew so did the service. e tractors were rst put on display in 1991, as a permanent exhibition in a purpose-built facility. is museum collection, at an enviable level on a continen- tal scale, is today unique in our country. Located on an area of around 1,700m 2 , under one roof, about 70 mo- re tractors and numerous agricultural machines are ex- hibited in the area in front of the museum building. e upper gallery houses old craft machines, with over 40 having been collected, an ethno exhibition, an old school classroom, cameras, musical instruments etc. e entire collection was gathered on domestic terri- tory, which represents another of its values. e mu- seum was ocially included in the register of cultural institutions as of last year.
