J ack Dimich is an American actor who was born and raised in Kozarska Dubica under the name of Željko Dimić. After several unsuccessful at- tempts to enrol in acting studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, he headed to the United States, where he was accepted in 1997 into the Lee Strasberg eatre & Film Institute in New York and graduated acting in 2001, in the class of renowned pro- fessor Michael Margotta. One of the few actors from this region who can boast of having achieved success in Hol- lywood, after 25 years living in New York he still can’t be- lieve that he actually lives in that city, which he leads us through from a distant America. #1 – 5 favourite places - Central Park, because it’s great for relaxation and peace when I need that. I often take my dog Vučko there. - The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, because I was taught the acting craft there for four years. - The Actors Studio, because it’s my favourite stage. - The Metropolitan Opera, because I enjoy their pro - gramme. - Rockefeller Center, because it’s the heart of New York. #2 – 5 best events - The New York Auto Show, because petrol flows through my veins. - Tribeca Film Festival, because it achieves a top artis - tic level, particularly when it comes to auteur film. - Westminster Dog Show, because I really love dogs and animals generally. - The Christmas Parade, because New York is then at its most beautiful. - Clearwater Music Festival, because I fantasised about one day being there. #3 – Kafana in Cyrillic script One of my favourite restaurants is кафана [kafa - na]. It is called precisely that, with the name written in Cyrillic. jer, naravn,o prvo stižu ovamo jer je Njujork glavni grad sveta. Ritam života je veoma brz i svi su u trci sa vreme- nom. To je novi-stari trend u ovom gradu koji se nika- da neće promeniti. Ovde si stalno u pokretu. Kad sta- neš – gotov si :-) #6 Stana Katić Za mene su sve kolege iste. Možda je to jedan od ra- zloga što nisam imao niti jedno ružno iskustvo niti na jednom od 86 lmova, serija i predstava na kojima sam do sada radio, a radio sam sa Selenom Gomez, Elizabet Šu, Džefom Goldblumom, Lusi Lu, Tomom Hardijem, Tomom Selekom, Bilijem Zejnom i mnogim drugim po- znatim glumcima. Bilo mi je naročito zadovoljstvo da radim sa Stanom Katić. Iznenadio sam se kad mi se obratila na srpskom na setu, nisam znao da govori naš jezik, pošto je odra- sla u Kanadi i posle prešla u Ameriku. Ljudi oko nas su bili malo ljubomorni pošto smo sve vreme komunicirali na srpskom, a sa druge strane, bilo im je i interesantno da slušaju kako se dogovaramo. Na suprotnim smo stra- nama zakona u seriji, ona je agent FBI koja me privodi i zadužena je da me strpa u zatvor. Nismo se poznavali pre te saradnje i veliki je profesionalac.
