This route, sprinkled with the nest emo- tions, perseverance, love for work and founded on family values, had its beginnings in Belgrade, by prov- ing the worth of its handmade mattresses to the fas- tidious local public. The small shop in a backyard in Čubura that was known for its luxurious magnolia wood and has now been transformed into the charm- ing Schlara a Boutique, still brings together faith- ful customers – with a third generation now coming to purchase superior essential equipment for sleep. We regularly see future grandparents who come with a pregnant daughter or daughter-in-law to proud- ly highlight the reliability of our mattresses, with the hope that their grandchildren will sleep on Schlara- a mattresses – rst those intended for babies, then through those for children and adolescents, to some new matrimonial double bed. News that people get the best sleep in the most densely populated Belgrade municipality spread across the city, so over the past two decades Schlara a salons have opened through- out the capital, while the retail network has extend- ed from Niš, via Novi Sad, all the way to Subotica, en- abling the comfort of good beds to be enjoyed from the south of Serbia to the north. And it is precisely thanks to the thousands of loyal sleepers who unhesitatingly praise the restorative sleep they enjoy on unique hand-made mattresses that has led to Schlara a courageously o ering its assortment of mattresses to the Viennese public. Do you know the story of Schlafgarten? That’s the path planted with a single magnolia bud from Čubura in- tended to blossom around the Austrian capital and to set down roots there by creating an in- toxicating garden for some new generation of dreamers.

Neretko viđamo buduće bake i deke koji, držeći pod ruku trudne kćeri ili snahe, ponosno ukazuju na vernost našim dušecima sa nadom da će i unučići proći put spavanja na Šlarafijinim du- šecima, prvo onim namenje- njim za bebe, a kasnije pre- ko dečjeg i adolescentskog doba stasati za neku novu bračnu postelju. Vest da se na najgušće naseljenoj op- štini u Beogradu i najbolje spava proširila se gradu, pa su u protekle dve decenije nikli saloni Šlarafije po ce- loj prestonici, a maloprodaj- na mreža se rasula od Niša, preko Novog Sada, pa sve do Subotice omogućivši da se u komforu dobre postelje uživa od juga do severa Srbije.
