A FEW FACTS ABOUT THE 2019 EYOF: The EYOF is the largest multi-sport event for young peo- ple across Europe; The EYOF teaches and motivates youngsters regarding ideals within the Olympic Charter; It educates and motivates youngsters to engage in sport and promote healthy lifestyles; It represents a gathering place for young athletes from 46 European countries. The opening ceremony will be held on 10 th February at Sara- jevo’s Asim Ferhatović - Hase Stadium, where the Olympic ame was rst lit 35 years ago. The opening ceremony will include the participation of over 700 high school students from Sarajevo, who will deliver a collective welcome message through a diverse cul- tural and artistic programme, while entrance is free of charge for all visitors. One particular feature of this Olympic mountain, alongside its competitive events, widely-renowned hospitality and delicious food, is certainly represented by its entertainment events and con- certs of numerous local and foreign music artists, which attract the attention of visitors from di erent parts of the world. This March will also see Jahorina host one of the most attractive winter festi- vals, alongside the 8 th March concert of Dragana Mirković. Exit’s Fes- tival 84 has resounded strongly beyond the borders of the region since its inception, ranking among the world’s largest winter festi- vals, while the ocial European Festival Awards for 2018 saw this snowy spectacle enter the nals and make it onto the shortlist of the continent’s top ten new festivals! The latest edition of Festival 84 will regale numerous Jahorina visitors from 15 th to 17 th March. For a special dose of adrenaline and to experience Jahorina’s extraordinary scenes of idyllic winter beauty, it is possible to ex- plore the mountain by riding on a snow plough after the ski resort’s trails have closed for the day or by surrendering to the charms of night skiing, which is certainly the best way to end a day’s skiing on the mountain.
