Lead- ing to the Giza plateau on the left bank of the Nile is the Pyramid Road (Shariah al-Ah- ram),coveringalengthof11km.Trackedanoth- er 1,869 km, on the occasion of the opening of the Suez Canal, it is today expanded and paved. Believed to have been conceived as a tomb, the pyramid is seen as a giant staircase that the soul and spirit of the deceased king climbs to reach the sun and the spirit world. Among the most famous is the Great Pyramid of Khufu, entry to which is limited, while photographing the interior is strictly forbidden. Thanks to the trains that travel very frequent- ly to and from Cairo, you can also take a day trip to the beautiful Alexandria, the ancient city on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and former capi- tal of Egypt, and the place that was once home to one of the seven wonders of the ancient world - the great Lighthouse of the island of Pharos. But also the famous Library that was once the largest in the world. During your stay in Cairo, you should certain- ly tour the National Museum of Egypt, one of the largest in the world, Al-Azhar Mosque, the Coptic Quarter,Tahrir Square and the Nile’s Rawdah Island... Cairo’s climate is characterised by major droughts and heat, while winters are mild and warm. Dur- ing the course of a year, rain falls for an average of four to six days. That’s why visiting Egypt is al- ways a good idea.

Trasiran još 1869. povodom otvaranja Sueckog kana- la, sada je proširen i asfaltiran. Zamišljena kao grobnica, piramida je divovsko stepe- nište kojim se duša i duh umrlog kralja penju ka suncu i duhovnom svetu. Me- đu najpoznatijima je Keopsova, u koju je ulaz ograničen, a snimanje i fotografisanje unutrašnjosti strogo zabranjeno. Veoma frekventnim vozovima koji saobraćaju od Kaira i do njega moguće je otići i na jednodnevni izlet do prelepe Aleksandrije, drevnog grada na obali Sre- dozemnog mora, nekadašnje prestonice Egipta i mesta u kojem se nalazilo jedno od sedam svetskih čuda starog sveta – svetionik na ostrvu Faro. Ali i čuvena bi- blioteka, najveća na svetu. Tokom boravka u Kairu svakako tre- ba obići Nacionalni muzej Egipta, jedan od najvećih na svetu, džamiju El Azhar, Koptsku četvrt, Tahrir trg, ostrvo Roda na Nilu... Klimu karakterišu suša i vrućina to- kom leta, a zime su blage i tople. Tokom godine kiša prosečno padne u četiri do šest dana. Zato je Egipat uvek dobra ideja.
POLETEO ČARTER ZA ŠARM EL ŠEIK
Posle četiri godine pauze čarter Er Srbije pono- vo leti za Šarm el Šeik. Prvi let obavljen je avio- nom erbas A319 registarskih oznaka YU APB, a let JU 3700 bio je ispunjen do poslednjeg mesta. Naše kolege su se pobrinule da 144 putnika si- gurno i udobno stignu do egipatskog letovališta. Podsećamo da je poslednji let ka popularnoj tu- rističkoj destinaciji obavljen u leto 2014. godine.
FLIGHT CHARTER FOR SHARM EL SHEIKH
After a break of four years, Air Serbia has re- launched ights to Sharm El Sheikh. The rst charter ight was carried out with the airline’s A319 aircraft, YU APB registration mark. Flight JU 3700 was fully booked. The Air Serbia sta members ensured that all 144 passengers ar- rived safely and comfortably in the Egyptian re- sort. Prior to this ight, the last Air Serbia plane to land in this popular tourist destination did so in the summer of 2014.
