BERN The Swiss capital of Bern oozes with the charm of the old world, and its medieval old town is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking through the cobblestone streets, visitors can explore the tallest cathedral in Switzerland, a 16 th century fountain, a medieval tower and clock with moving gures; and six kilometres of shopping arcades, which local residents refer to as “Lauben”. Bern has many ex- cellent museums, while art lovers will enjoy its impressive galleries, including the Zentrum Paul Klee, which houses the world’s largest collection of the works of this well-known artist, as well as the Bern museum of ne arts (Kunstmuseum).
